Christmas Cards

Here are some of the Christmas cards I made to send out this year. I used Christmas Craft stickers from Hobby Lobby since they were 50% off! YEA! I used embossing powder on the card at the top left. On all of them I used The Paper studio Christmas paper. I hope you enjoy them.

My Other Hobby

I thought I would share my other hobby with you. Jewelry making. I make one of a kind jewelry with polymer clay. Polymer clay is also great for accent pieces in card making and other craft projects. Polymer clay is very easy to use and can be bought at any big name craft store. The clay can be formed in any shape you wish. There are all kinds of tools and cookie cutter shapes you can use to cut out shapes. You can also use  stamps to add design and texture to the pieces. You can also use Pearl EX to add glittery accents to you clay before you bake it. It is usualy baked at 275 degrees in your oven or toaster oven. One warning, do not use tools or cooking pans that you use with food products. Here are a few examples of what I have done. This first picture is stuff that I have not baked yet and is incomplete.
If you look at the picture above you will see 3 pieces of jewelry that have pictures. This is a really cool technique of using laser print images on the clay.
The swirl is a signature design clasp that I put on most of my necklaces.

Thinking of You and being thankful

Before I get to the card I want to share with you what I was most thankful for this year. We traveled to see my husband's mother this Thanksgiving. During the summer we alomost lost her. She was very sick and we did not expect her to be around this Thanksgiving. Thanks be to God that when we went to see her she was healthier, stronger and spunkier than ever. I know alot of people have trouble with their in-laws but I truly love this woman. She has been a rock in my life and a blessing to my family. She also trained my husband very well. He cooks, cleans and does laundry thanks to her! Woo hoo! Thank you God for another Thanksgiving with her!

Well now for the card.
I used the Cricut Imagine to cut the tag with Thinking of you stamp. I used Purple pigment in on the edges of the paper to as depth to it. I then used Colorblok white core cardstock paper, a cuddlebug embossing folder and sanding technique to make the pink square. The pattern paper is from The Paper Studios Adhesive collection paper block.
