Pinwheel Thank You Card

Recipe:
The Paper Studio Embossing card.
Cricut Imagine Yummy Cartridge for scallop circle, swirl, and Thank You color.
Thank you was made from the Wild Card Cricut Cartridge
I used Modge Podge Dimensional Magic on the swirls and the Thank You.
To create the pinwheel I used Martha Stewarts Lattace border punch and the Martha Stewart Score board. I cut the 12 in paper to a 1 1/2 inch strip. used punch on edge then scored the paper every 1/4 inch.

My Creative Time Design Team Call

I am so excited to share the pop up card I just made for the MY CREATIVE TIME DESIGN TEAM CALL! I have not been able to buy any of her stamps yet but I really like them. The mixture of fonts she uses are very pretty and unique. Inside the card I used a recipe for what I call Shimmer Mist that I had found. The pop up pattern I used is from Robert Sabuda's free pop up card patterns and directions. I cut it out on Colorbok paper then distressed the edges of the flower and the card with Cranberry "Ink it up" ink.

The outside of the card was made with the Birthday Extravaganza  and Adhesive Simplicity paper by The Paper Studios. The scalloped circle on the front was printed on my Cricut Imagine using the Imagine More cartridge. I distressed the edges with Tim Holtz "Vintage Photo" distress ink.
I hope you enjoyed the card! I don't know if I have a chance because of all the talented people out there but never hurts to give it a try.

National Boss Day

I made a card and matching rosette for Bosses Day. I used the Cricut Imagine, Imagine More Cartridge to make the flower for the front. I used my Martha Stewart Scoring board to score the rosette. I scored the paper every half inch then folded it. I cut out circle and put hot glu on them then glued the rosette to the circle. I did ths for both sides. I then attached the Grateful flower from the Imagine More Cartridge to the front of the rosette. I then glued a pencil into the center of the rosette to hold it up in the flowers we bought them. On the card I used the same flower then used my Wild Cards Cricut Cartridge for the saying. I used the Martha Stewart Flower Border cutter and the scallop border cutter for the trim of the card.

Go to "You had me at Craft" and join in they party. Post your projects.

Happy Halloween Pop up Card for My Pink Stamper Challange

Hi all! I decided to challange myself with a pop up card for the My Pink Stamper Blog Hop Challange. Challenge: Make a goodie bag or 3-D item that is for a Holiday. Any Holiday or Occasion will be perfect.
I love pop up cards. They are so fun to make so I thought I would start with some help from Robert Sabuda's website. This way I could get a better technical grasp of the process and create more interesting cards.  Here we go! You can see the pop up better from top view.

Shimmer Mist Recipe

I have always wanted to buy some Glimmer Mist but found it to be too expensive for my taste. I don't buy too many craft things without a sale or coupon so I guess I am a clearance sale and thrift junkie.  I searched the web and found several recipes for it on Splitcoaststamper.com. Thanks to all the people who shared their recipes. I already had everything I needed to make the recipe below. Yea! The recipe worked really well. The glue in the mixture bonds the PearlEX to the paper so it does not smear. The only thing I need is a better misting bottle. I had an old travel kit with a spray bottle in it. It sprays a little heavy so I will be getting new ones for more colors.
Here is the Recipe:
One part Decoupage Glue, Modge Podge or  ElmersGlue
One part water
One small scoop of Pearl EX
Mix in a small misting bottle.
To make your colors bolder add a drop or two of stamp pad ink refiller or in one case I read someone used Rit Dye.

I don't think you will be able to see it very well from these pictures but here is how it did with the bottle I want to replace. I used Gold and  Brown PearlEX for my mix. I sprayed it onto a light green paper.

Fall is here

It is such a beautiful fall day here today. The weather is perfect. I think it's time to pull out the fall decorations. Tomorrow off to our cities fall festival and funnel cakes. Yea! Can't wait to spend time with the family. My husband has had to work the past couple weekends so it will be nice to have him back.
