I am so excited that I finally was able to order 5 sets of Tanner's AKA Mr Cricut Crazy's stamp sets. I had been wanting to get them for awhile now and am so glad they arrived. Here is my first card made with his high quality polymer stamps. Please take a look at his stamp sets. I think you will really like them. I believe he still has some of them on sale now for $10. If you don't know about Tanner AKA Mr. Cricut Crazy I encourage you to stop by and visit his blog. This young man and his design team will inspire your creative spirit!
I used the "Office Office" set for the tag and the Congratulations on your Promotion which is actually two stamps  "Congratulations on your" and "Promotion". He split it up so you could use one of 3 combinations of Promotion, Retirement, and Graduation.  (Click here or on stamp set to go to Mr. Cricut Crazy's store.)

Our first snow of the year and camera tips

We finally got our first snow of the year on the 20th.  It was really dark with just a little light from my neighbors yard pointed up in the trees. I was really surpirised how much light the camera picked up. It almost looks like daylight. I challange all of you to experiment with your cameras. There are many sites with really good tips for specific cameras and some sites that cover digital photography in general. I bet if you look you will be able to find your camera and tips on how to get the most out of it on Youtube. If not go to the manufacturers website to see if they have any helpful tips or videos.
Here are some helpful sites I have found.
YouTube   (type in your camera or use general tips)

Before buying a camera check out online reviews from independant sites and Youtube to see if it is really the camera you want.
I used my digital SLR camera to see how it took night pictures. It has an ISO setting of 6400 and I was curious what it would do. I turned off the flash and allowed the camera to pick the ISO setting. TIP for night pictures: It is best to have a stand or sit the camera on a stable surface. Camera shake will blur night pictures. especially when you have your ISO set in 800 to 6400 field. The shutter speed slows to allow more light in and if you shake twitch or move it blurs the picture. Also try using your manual focus for night pictures. You will be surprised how well the picture will turn out with a stand and manual focus.Hope you enjoy the picture.

Valentines Gift Box Card

I made this card for my hubby for Valentines Day.  For directions on how to make this card go to  Whiff of Joy blog. They have some awesome ideas on their blog. I plan on giving this to my hubby filled with some candy hearts. I may also make some for my co workers filled with scented tea light candles. It is the perfect size to fit 4 tea lights candles, a full size candy bar or just about anything you want that is less than 6 inches tall and 1 1/2 wide.

Bird Card

Just a simple card made using the Cricut Imagine Nursery Tails Cartridge and The Paper Studio's Birds embossing folder and sanding technique. Sanding the embossed areas of the paper before removing it from the embossing folder.
I have not been much use these days. been under the weather but my hubby has been taking good care of me. I am blessed to have him in my life. Can not believe in June we will be married 25 years. Love you hunny!
